Plastic Surgery

The other day I said to a friend: “Anybody who gets plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons isn’t accepting themselves.”

She replied, ”That’s not true. There are reasons why someone would get plastic surgery.”

I didn’t respond. I knew the reasons. A deformity. Bullying. An accident. Personal choice.

My point would’ve been lost.

That if you want to alter your physical appearance drastically, with plastic surgery, you’re not accepting:

1. What God gave you, and

2. To some extent, how you’ve lived has caused your physical expression of DNA to form the way it has.

It’s not about judgment. It’s just what is.

There are ways to alter your physical appearance without surgery.

Diet.

Guasha.

Exercise.

Sutra neti.

If you still want plastic surgery, go for it.

My invitation is to cultivate self-love from within so it doesn’t become a never-ending addictive cycle of nip tuck stitch.

You are already enough.
